ourselves... We are, Elaine Tavis and Nicol Jackson, mother/daughter Reiki Masters dedicated to bringing the amazing healing energy of
Reiki to others to help create peace and balance in the world. We acknowledge that the body, mind, and spirit work together to create
balance and optimum health. Healing energy exists in the body but is depleted when a person becomes sick, injured, depressed,
stressed, etc...
We can help increase the healing energy supply and create balance, peace, and harmony. We use Reiki, crystals, shamanism, sound
therapy, and guided intuition to help facilitate energy movement and enhance the healing process. We understand that every one is
different, with different backgrounds, experiences and needs. At Essence of Healing we strive to help you meet your individual needs and
concerns to help you achieve desired results towards your own personal growth. We also offer reiki training classes of all levels, a
monthy reiki share, journeying classes and groups, meditation group, and more...
Elaine and Nicol have been practicing Reiki since receiving their First Degree in 2000.
Elaine has been a Certified Reiki Master of Traditional Usui Reiki since 2003. She has been practicing Reiki on herself and others since
2000. Elaine has completed the Wellness and Healing Arts program at North Shore Community College and has studied Shamanism with
Leontine Hartzell. Elaine as also had the opportunity to experience some great workshops; the Solar Initiation with Dr. Norma Milanovich,
the Eckhart Tolle Workshop. Elaine recently attended a weekend with Jonette Crowley author of The Eagle and the Condor, where she
became "initiated" to perform Soul Body Fusions and Heart Activations. Elaine has been trained by Elizabeth Foley in Lightarian Reiki and
has been attuned for all levels.
Elaine is the mother of four (Nicol being the youngest) and the very proud grandmother of 13! She enjoys reading, meditating, spending
time with her family, increasing her spiritual awareness and experiencing life in every good way!
Nicol became a Certified Reiki Master and Teacher of Traditional Usui Reiki in August 2004, practicing Reiki since 2000. She holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Salem State College.
Nicol is the proud mom of Christopher Jr. and Ella Rose...when not spending time with her family...Nicol enjoys walking, yoga, meditating,
reading, painting, and dedicating time to her spiritual awakening..."there have been many challenges on this path of mine...but as I learn to
embrace each stumble in the road...it brings me that much closer to spirit and my true self!"
About the Council of the Grandmothers...Elaine received her Grandmothers Empowerment from Sharon in March and recently passed the
Empowerment along to Nicol the beginning of June. Since reading Sharon's book, "A call to power: The Grandmothers Speak" and
receiving their Empowerment's, both Elaine and Nicol have been working with the Grandmothers and the amazing and powerful energy they
wish to share with all who are called to do their work (that of the grandmothers). "We are very excited to be able to join with Sharon, the
Grandmothers and all who are called to do this work; we believe this is a very important and necessary time to raise the yin energy and
help bring the universe to a much needed higher vibration. We look forward to sharing this energy and passing on the empowerment to
